Road accident is the most annoying thing to happen to people on the road. It is very unfortunate that some individuals risk their lives because of unexpected incidents that arise due to neglect on the part of other people.
In a recent case, police arrested a man in connection with a wrong-way crash on Interstate 90. At milepost 31, Washington State Forest Unit 55 spotted a white van traveling westbound on I-90 at a very high speed, which investigators later discovered was a stolen vehicle and the van was chased by the officers with the Snohomish Police Department. According to police records, the driver of the vehicle that caused the crash took the on-ramp from milepost 25 to Westbound I-90 and struck a Police Department vehicle. The man was driving recklessly, making multiple U-turns and continued travelling the wrong way to Snoqualmie Parkway.
According to investigators, the driver of the van then hit a blue Subaru Impreza head on and fled from the scene of crash. The man was chased by the officers on duty and taken into custody. Upon interrogation the officers found the man was inebriated and he confessed consumption of alcohol.
All three people who were inside the Subaru at the time of the crash including the driver and passenger of the van suffered multiple injuries. They were all transported to hospitals for treatment. They were treated for a broken arm and leg, multiple lacerations to the face and other parts of the body, internal bleeding and other unknown injuries.
Negligent driving is often the cause of road accidents. Drivers should follow all traffic rules and regulations and should not drive above the prescribed speed limits so as to prevent accidents on the road. Victims of such accidents can file a personal injury lawsuit against the negligent driver. They can claim compensation for medical expenses, damage to their vehicle or property and lost wages from the insurers of the negligent driver.
